Frequently asked questions
Short answers to what students ask before they buy. Anything not covered here: write to us from your account or at the support address in the footer.
The books
Are these the publisher's files, or scans?
Every title here is an e-textbook from the publisher — most editions from the major publishers, including the newest ones, as the official, high-quality PDF (EPUB where the publisher offers it). No scans, no photocopies. If what you download is not that, it is refunded — see the refund policy.
Which edition do I get? Does the ISBN match the print book?
The edition named on the book page is the edition you get, and that is what the refund policy holds us to. The ISBN on the page is the one the book is filed under here — check the edition and the ISBN against your syllabus before you buy, and ask us if they do not match.
Does the book include an access code or online homework?
No. Access code: not included — ebook file only. If your course needs MyLab, Connect, WileyPLUS or another platform code, that comes from the publisher or your course, not from the book file. The book page says so under Details for every title.
What format is the file — PDF or EPUB?
The File row on the book page names the format and, once the file is in stock, its size. Most books are PDF; EPUB where the publisher offers it. A PDF keeps the printed page layout; an EPUB reflows to fit the screen.
Can I read it on my phone, tablet, laptop, Kindle or e-reader?
Yes — it is a standard PDF or EPUB with no copy protection, so it opens in any reader app on any device. A PDF reads best on a tablet or laptop screen, where a full page fits; an EPUB suits a phone or an e-reader.
Can I search, highlight, copy and print?
Yes. The files are DRM-free, so whatever your reader app can do — search, highlight, notes, copy, print — works on them.
Can I use it with AI study tools?
Yes. It is a plain file you can upload to study with — ChatGPT, NotebookLM or whatever you use.
Can I see inside before I buy?
Books that are in stock have a Preview under the cover: a sample of pages from the actual file, so you can check the edition, the layout and the print quality before paying.
Requesting a book
The book I need is not listed
Ask for it: Request a textbook. Give us the ISBN and the edition you need; we check whether we can get it and tell you the answer. Asking costs nothing — you pay only if we can get it and you decide to order.
What do I need to give you?
The ISBN matters most: it names the exact edition. The form also asks for the title and the publisher, and you can add the author, edition, year, a second ISBN (the print or loose-leaf number, for instance) and a photo of the cover, so we find the right book first time. You can also say whether you prefer PDF or ePub.
Do I need an account to request a book?
No — anyone can ask. Tell us where to reach you: your account email if you are signed in, another email address, or Telegram. Signed in, your requests are also listed under Requests in your account.
How will I hear back?
By email, or on Telegram if you chose it. Either way we tell you one of two things: the book is ready to order, or we can't get it. When we can, it goes on the shop like any other title — you order it from its page, and it is ready to download the moment you pay, or within 12 hours if the file is still on its way.
What will it cost?
The confirmation screen shows an estimated price before you send the request. The exact price is on the book's page once it is ready to order, and you decide then whether to buy.
Is my request public?
The book is: the title, edition, ISBN, author and the cover photo you sent are listed under Requested books, so other students can see it is being looked for and join. Your name, your email and anything else about you are never shown.
Why was my request declined?
For one of three reasons, and we say which: we couldn't source the book from the publisher, the edition hasn't been released yet, or no book matches the ISBN given. If the ISBN was a typo, check it against your syllabus and ask again.
Getting your book
When do I get the file?
Each book page says which it is:
- In stock — the download is ready the moment your payment lands: on the order page, in your
account and in the email receipt.
- Pre-order — we source the file after payment, run it through our quality check, and it
appears in your account within 12 hours (usually much sooner), with an email to say so. If we cannot get it, or it does not pass the check, that book is refunded to your account balance within 24–48 hours — nothing to chase.
Where is my download?
Three places, in order of convenience: the order page right after you pay, Your account → Orders (for good), and the receipt email. If you are ever unsure, sign in and go to Orders — every book you have bought is there.
The email did not arrive
Check your spam folder first. Either way, the book is already in your orders — the email is a copy of what your account holds, not the only way to get the file.
Can I download it again later? Is there a limit?
Yes, and no limit. Books do not expire; download them again from your account as often as you like, on as many of your own devices as you like. The link in the email is a delivery link and stops working after a number of downloads; your account is where you download for good.
My pre-order has not arrived after 12 hours
Open your order under Orders and send us a support message from there. If the book could not be sourced or did not pass our check, the refund to your balance is already on its way; if it is simply late, we will tell you where it stands.
Paying
How do I pay? Do I need a credit card?
No card. Pay with Cash App in a few taps — scan the code we show you, or paste it — or from your account balance if you have one. These guides will walk through it screen by screen.
Do I need to own bitcoin or crypto?
No. You pay from your ordinary Cash App dollar balance; Cash App does the conversion when you send. You never hold anything yourself.
Are there fees on top of the price?
The price on the book page is what we charge — nothing is added at checkout. Cash App may show a small processing fee of its own on its confirmation screen, depending on how you pay; that screen is the figure to trust.
How long does payment take?
Seconds. The order page updates by itself the moment the payment lands, and the download appears right there.
The payment code ran out before I paid
Then nothing was charged. A code is valid for a limited time (the order page counts it down); if it expires, just start the order again — the first one simply closes.
I paid, but the page still says waiting
Give it a minute — a payment can take a moment to confirm. If it still says waiting, use Having trouble paying? Tell us on that page and do not pay again: we check the payment on our side and get back to you.
What is my account balance?
Money that is yours, held in your account: refunds land there, and you can add funds to it yourself. It pays for orders at checkout like any other method, and you can withdraw it to your own wallet at any time. See how adding funds works.
Can I withdraw money from my balance?
Yes — to your own wallet: Cash App, Coinbase, or another wallet of your choice. There is a small fixed fee and a minimum, both shown before you confirm. See how withdrawals work.
Is there a discount for buying several books at once?
Yes — save books to a list and buy the list in one order. The saving is shown on each book page under Buy now.
Your account
Do I need an account to buy?
Yes. Your books live in your account — that is what lets you download them again a year from now. Sign up with an email address and a password; it takes a moment and happens inside the buy flow.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, enter your email and choose Forgot it? — we email you a one-time sign-in link. Once in, set a new password under Settings.
Can I change my email address?
Not yourself: the address is how your orders are filed. Write to us from support and we change it by hand.
Can I delete my viewing history or my account?
Your viewing history: yes, under Settings in your account. Your account itself: ask us from support; deleting it ends access to the books bought with it, so we will say what you are about to lose before we do it.
Refunds and problems
Can I get a refund?
Yes, when what you downloaded is not what the book page promised — a scan instead of the publisher's file, missing or blurry pages, the wrong book or edition, a file that will not open. Ask within 7 days of purchase; we check the file and answer within 24 hours, and the full price of that book goes back to your account balance. Full details on the refund policy.
I bought the wrong book or edition by mistake
Tell us from support with the order and what you meant to buy. We reply to every request, even if you are not sure it qualifies — asking is the fastest way to find out.
The file will not open or looks wrong
Try a second reader app first (a PDF that fails in one app often opens in another). If it is still wrong, send us a support message with the book and a screenshot of the page — that is covered by the refund policy.
How do I contact support?
Signed in, from your account — your orders are right there, which makes answering faster. Otherwise, the support address is in the footer of every page.
